THANK YOU!

Thanks to our riders, volunteers and sponsors for their help today. Thanks to Nathan Hedges for great live music on the Howe Meadow stage. Thanks to Cuyahoga Valley National Park for use of the event site. And thanks to the Metro Parks rangers, who were in uniform on their own time to keep everything running smoothly.

Please share your feedback, both positive thoughts and constructive criticisms, so we can keep up the good work and continue improving: info@stompbikeride.com

  1. The route was horrible...not any fun...Way too many hills... Much better last year on the towpath. Will not return next year if the route stays the same.

  2. I agree with many who have stated that the route was horrible. I ride over a hundred twenty miles a week in good shape with gearing to handle flat and rolling hills, and never have I witnessed more bikers walking bikes up hill after hill, poor road selections (Rough)and busy roads (Not even bike lanes in some areas). Courtesy Stops ran out of bottled water twice and when it arrived it was not even cold?? (Poor planning on such a hot day. I love biking and was so excited to experience this event with my wife and we definitely wont be back next year. (Because of poor route selection and too numerous hills to enjoy he cause!!) The goal is a workout yes, fundraising yes, but make the routes for enjoyment and fun for more riders. I do not feel this event advertised well enough the routes were this hilly. These hills are not even rolling hills!!

  3. My friend and I couldn't even find a place to register. We were directed to park and were given no further instruction. There were signs pointed toward the towpath so we hopped on and rode to find absolutely no sign of any riders anywhere. It's a shame. We still got in 30 miles of riding in but didn't even get to participate. As a first time rider at this event I was looking forward to contributing to the parks and meeting new people, some more organization to direct riders would make me consider maybe heading out for the ride next year.

  4. Did the 25, sure challenging, but that's what it's supposed to be. Its a tour of park areas you might not use weekly, which i think was great.
Agreed bottle water was a waste, large coolers to refill would have been much better.
Can't blame stomp for poor road quality, they're all poor.
Riding only on toe path? Come on that's called the family path.

Decent job everyone! You can't control the weather.
